IRC Break ~ Alternative Ways of Talking to Me

Well, I hate to say this but lately I’ve become addicted to IRC. Ever since an IRC channel was opened for animenano, I have been in that channel every single day. Well, I need to cut back so for the next few days I will not be on #animenano @ irc.rizon.net. I need a break. It’s hurting my anime viewing and my blogging (which I didn’t do much anyways; that’s something that I want to change too).

Anyways, the #animenano channel has been a great place to build community bonds. And a great place to get to know fellow animebloggers or fellow anime blog readers just like me (or similar at least). If you would like to still talk to me I will still have my instant messenger client open and my email is always good.

Here are ways you can contact me:

  • email & gTalk: scottfrye[at]gmail.com (make sure you change [at] to @)
  • AIM: scottfry3
  • MSN: scott.frye@hotmail.com (I don’t check this email account.)
  • Yahoo!: scottafrye
  • and of course the contact page

To all the #animenano channel guys I will be back soon.

I don’t get it. Why not just leave it open and check it periodically like the rest of us? Then you can continue doing other stuff.

Well, tj I have a habit of checking it every 5 seconds and I get a little obsessed. I just need a breather right now.

    I’ll miss you… :(

I have to admit that I haven’t checked out the irc channel yet. I’ve been meaning to…it’s just one of those things that get tossed in the ‘to do’ list. Like you, I’ll probably get sucked into an interesting chat session since I used to live on irc prior to my blogging days. I’ll make it a point to visit the channel one of these days, though. :)

I can empathise with the checking-every-five-seconds thing. I leave IRC open even when I’m AFK, but when I’m not I constantly check every few minutes at least. It’s almost subconscious… erp.
